Welcome

About the Campaign

New Bridge Foundation's adolescent services ASPIRE program is introducing the Betta' Than campaign to students and their family as well as faculty members in Berkeley, Emeryville, and Oakland. It is an environmental campaign with a focus on substance use prevention. Students are given the opportunity to become leaders and generate awareness in their community. Students participate in healthy decision making. They prepare and make presentations about the negative aspects of alcohol and other drugs. They establish and nurture relationships with other community members. They engage in activities such as advocating for policy change, producing/distributing videos on social media or designing apparel. Parent workshops are also available so they may collaborate with and support the students' prevention efforts.

Mission Statement

The Betta' Than campaign is a youth-led program that spreads awareness about the harmful effects of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use. It promotes positive decision-making. It enhances leadership skills, encourages self-expression, creativity, community-building, and it empowers one another to take an active role to create a positive change!
